I hate the look of this blog I just can't get t to look neat and nice. I might just have to export it and let blogger host it. it appears their are far more settings and ways to edit the layout that way.
My pattern sales on ravelry have been going nicely. FAr better than I was expecting seeing as I haven't truly advertised. Though saying that with the first few sales I bought a 3 month businesssignature package on MDC.
Euan found a nice kids dyson hoover this morning in the charity shop and the twins have been busy hoovering. Willow found several huge sticks on the way to the shops and he insisted they come with us. Its bad enough having this huge double pushchait but with a collection of sticks is was almost impossible to get trough anywhere lol!
I have been knitting pumpkins and aacorns with my scraps and they have been send to friends troughout the world.
And the sudden drop in eggs has left me looking for an eggfree pumpkin muffin recipe. 2 of the chickens are practically bold and feathers fly everywhere.
Mum got back from her holiday in the philipines and had a great time and is now gearing up for the chemo and bonemarrow transplants so I've started knitting a few chemo caps for her. no dates on the exact start of it all yet since she has to go trough scans and everything first.
I picked up two great books from the charity shops the heart of the buddha's teaching by Thay Thich Nhat Hanh, I love his writings and I have yet to find a book or dharma talk by him that doesn't inspire.
The second is called GOGO MAMA a book about 12 african women it looks really interesting. I normally don't get the time to look at books for myself, by that point the twins are bored and want to move on say YAY for me lol!
Time to put lunch on the table :)

MIM - Touchy feely box
Make It Monday - a touchy feely box

Here's what you need
* 2 plastic washing up tubs
* 3 cable ties
* pencil to mark where you need to drill adn cut
* something that is as big as the hole you want to cut (we intended to use the peautbutter lid but found it was too small)
* a drill
* a craftknife to cut out the hole
* crochet hook
* crochet cotton/yarn of DK/worsted weight

Mark the area you want to cut out and around this mark out where to drill the holes to crochet the "glove" onto. Then find a keen person to drill the holes for the front, you also need 3 holes on the backside of both pieces to thread the cable ties trough as hinges.

The front of our box. you won't see the horrible edges once a sock has been crocheted around the hole.

The back of our box, as you can see we had some trouble lining up the holes
Now just crochet trough the holes and make a sleeve about 30cms long thats it!

All you need to do now is place something inside and have everyone in the house guess what it is.
The twins aren't that into it yet but Euan loves finding out whats in the box :)

Thursday allready
wow the week is flying by, after a few days of striking royal mail brought nothing but junk mail today.
it looked horribly grey this morning so we stayed home instead of going to the park we dipped leaves for my shop we felted acorns once they are dry we will glue them into their acorn caps and put them on our autumn table. WE've also been busy making drawings for Nick who will be coming over this weekend. Last time we saw him was easily 6 years ago.
Mum set of for her morale boosting holiday and then will start her chemo when she gets back. The day after she has an appoinment for a scan and the whole thing will get started.
We've had better weather for the last 3 weeks then we've had all summer. But autumn is here there's no doubt about that.
